About

Dr. Jackie Jenkins graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1992. She completed a one-year residency in hospital-based optometry at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center in Chillicothe, OH. She served fourteen years at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, where she consulted in their Ocular Disease Clinic, Primary Care Clinic, and taught several Optometry courses and labs. in 2008, Dr. Jenkins moved to Indiana in 2008 and joined IU School of Optometry’s Indianapolis Eye Care Center where she is a Senior Clinical Lecturer primarily teaching and practicing primary eye care and medical optometry. She joined Raphael Health Center (RHC) as head optometric clinic consultant in 2019 and currently splits her professional time between the Indianapolis Eye Care Center and RHC.

Dr. Jenkins is board certified by the American Board of Certification in Medical Optometry.

Dr. Jenkins grew up in Ohio and is an avid Buckeyes fan. She has four wonderful grown children. Her favorite pastimes are spending time with her family and traveling and listening to live music with her husband.
