Accommodations Available for Patients with Disabilities

Raphael Health Center is committed to accommodating its patients who have a disability and making sure that all patients have equal access to health care.

If your visit is scheduled, tell the scheduling staff of your accommodation needs.

If your visit is not scheduled (e.g. emergency department), alert the staff to your accommodation needs when you arrive by telling the person checking you in or the nurse/medical assistant.

Examples of disability-related accommodations and assistive devices available for use at RHC include, but are not limited to:

  • Assistance with patient transfer
  • Accessible restrooms
  • Interpreter services (sign language and languages other than English)
  • Auxiliary aids (large print materials)
  • Your service animal
  • Accessible parking
  • Wheelchairs

As a recipient of Federal financial assistance, Raphael Health Center, Inc. RHC does not discriminate against persons who do not speak English as their primary language or against those with disabilities. RHC provides free language services and other aids through qualified interpreters and written information in other formats (e.g., large print, audit, accessible electronic format) and information written in other languages. These services are available to you upon your first contact with RHC staff and throughout your healthcare journey.
