Students and Residents
Raphael Health Center provides more than 200 rotations annually to students and other learners throughout its system of care. Learners have opportunities within the clinic to utilize state-of-the-art electronic medical records, see multiple types of patients and interact with many different styles of practice. All combined with a competency-based curriculum – rooted in a family-friendly program and community.
Whether you are destined for a small rural community, a large urban practice, a general primary care practice or a subspecialty practice, we are very proud of our reputation for helping produce some of the best physicians in the nation. Many of our graduates successfully compete for and embark on fellowships at renowned medical and academic centers across the country. Our emphasis is on training physicians to be ready to either enter primary care practice immediately following graduation in an area of the physician’s interest.
Raphael Health Center uses a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model. The team based care at Raphael includes licensed social workers, as well as a licensed mental health professional integrated with the Clinical Team. Medical Providers including Physicians and Nurse Practitioners work with Nurses and Medical Assistants to care for patients of all ages. The clinical team is supported by onsite health education, case management and pharmacy services. This collaborative team approach to healthcare is how patients and physicians engage in a healthcare relationship that focuses on health, wellness, and prevention as well as treatment.
